Me and my girlfriend went an a trip deep in the mountains of Chiang Dao. It was a very exotic experience. Coming from a month in Bangkok it was refreshing breathing clean air once more. Our home stay lay inside a nature reservate and it was somewhat strict to enter the area. Once inside you felt like the only foreginer in miles raius. Narrow mountain roads cut deet through the vally and up into the mountains.
I loved the vegetation, the beautiful mountains and the relaxing atmosphere. Once again I was able to breath clean air and meet with authentic North-Thai communities that we passed by on the way to our stay for the night.

"I loved the beautiful mountains & vegatation in Chiang Dao"

Thailand's northern capital is an escape from the whirlwind pace of life of its southern rival. Despite the constant arrival of planes and trains full of sightseers, the former seat of the Lanna kingdom is still blissfully calm and laid-back. This is a place to relax after the chaos of Bangkok and recharge your batteries with fabulous food and leisurely wandering.

How many cities in the world have more rooftop bars than Bangkok? Maybe none. We climbed most of them to give you the ultimate list of Bangkok Rooftop Skybars. And we asked experienced expats about their favorit skybars.
As much as we love Bangkok’s big-name rooftop bars, sometimes it’s nice to not have to worry about whether you’re wearing the right shoes. The good news is, a whole bunch of smaller rooftop bars have been popping up across Bangkok for the last couple of years. You get the same good views, outdoors atmosphere and quality drinks – just at a lower cost.

The reason why it’s such a secret is there is no signage or front door. Instead, there is just a mock-retro phone booth. Step inside, dial the secret code and a false door in the back of the phone booth swings open. It’s the most unusual entrance to a bar we’ve seen in Bangkok! The best time to check out Havana Social is on Friday and Saturday nights.
